Boris 366
A new year bring a new challenge. After long deliberation and countless late night sessions, Boris and I have settled on a new project. We considered a comic strip wherein he and sock puppet pal Beryl get into mischief and zany antics. I suggested a series of pithy Tumblr-friendly single panel comics where Boris comments on society and whatnot. Boris respectfully declined, noting that he didn’t want to become a speaking character. (He’s really determined to have a posh British narrator follow him around. We’ve been listening to The Goon Show lately and Boris has his little robot heart set on Wallace Greenslade as his narrator. Poor little robot.) Instead, Boris and I will be participating in a “blank of the day” project.
Starting January 1, 2012, we will be bringing you 366 days of Boris in a variety of costumes, silly hats, and season-appropriate activities.
Check in every day throughout 2012 to see our Robot of Leisure dolled up and decked out. Boris (and occasional friends) will pay tribute to celebrities and historical figures, celebrate time-honoured traditions, and make rare and obscure pop culture references. Since 2012 is a leap year, Boris gets an extra day to amuse you with his colourful antics.
